Would a human driver see that at 7:10 without high beams on? Don’t think so. LiDAR would have picked it up. The whole point of self-driving is it should use better senses than a human driver so it can respond to these unusual conditions and be safer. It would also need better software than just trained AI, so it can respond to something unusual.
