I study at a coffee shop around the metro Detroit area every day. I work for a tech company & am studying mechatronics to get a better understanding of my job responsibilities. I’ve come to be a “regular” at a few cafes and I run into quite a few engineers who have a focus in either software, electrical or mechanical. I personally work around augmented reality & autonomous mechanical equipment. So.. with all this being said, I am starting to see a significant reduction in pretty much everyone’s work-load. What used to take software engineers a full day to code is now done in a span of around 1-2 hours with using AI. Idk what the next generation is going to do for work.. I could ramble on and on about this topic and I’m 💯 glad that people are starting to come around to how automated systems are advancing at an exponential rate. Degrees & work in Finance, computer science, engineering in general.. they’re all going to be void for ~50% of the work force by the time I kick the bucket..
