I've been a software dev for over 25 years now.
Early on in my career I thought I was bad at it because I was slow at writing code.
Years ago I realized that "writing code" was something a good software engineer avoids as much as possible.
Our job is not "write code", it's "solve problems using code".
Too many in the tech industry think that AI is going to take over, because they think our job is "writing code". They're wrong, and AI is proving that. The more code you write, the bigger tech debt you have.
Do less to do more.
