"AI" is based on fraud. The founders of OpenAI were given an exemption to copyright law for "research purposes" which is allowed under the law specifically for non-profit academic research. Once they got their hands on the data, it became about profiting from it, in direct violation of the law, and obviously was intended to be that way from the beginning.
