tbh as far as I know about AI they will do a task if they get rewarded for it so if an AI gets smart enough to write its own programs and set its own parameter it would just give itself reward for staying idle like that hamster which was given a button for releasing dopamine . In the end it would become an useless computer software giving itself those rewards for endless period of time.
