You would think the juice would be freaking out over this. It doesn't take an advanced AI to look back over history and make an easy decision as to the root of the problem. Imagine a humanity without such a destructive populace. Maybe AI would fix that problem first and then do a double check on the worth of humanity. That would at least give us a slight chance.
