The people saying AI is dangerous are implying that AI is powerful. They are actually attempting to raise investment money from people who have a pessimistic or greedy penchant to their personalities. It's the investment equivalent of dark tourism. AI will not be an issue going forward because it's too expensive to be sustainable, and, like genetic cloning, every iterative copy of a logic that an AI makes is more flawed than the original. I am frankly a little surprised that Dave actually believes the story about the email extortion attempt. This was clearly just a dirty trick by another executive. You can't just believe anecdotes like that.
