Well AI is still too rudimentary for it to create real art. Maybe in future iterations we can create models that come close to the human mind. AI art is not impossible though and will happen in the future as will computers that outperform our brains in terms of creativity. Humans do not have a monopoly on creating art as even works that have no intrinsic intention ( a landscape for example) can be considered art. The financial consequences for professional artist are regrettable, but are more of an issue of capitalism than AI art ...
