It wasn’t really solely because of the AI. It was the example they used to present the AI. They gave the AI and gave it tasks but didn’t tell it how to move or function, so the body started dragging itself around scraping its head on the ground using it like a foot with no regard to its health or safety. The men said they might implement this into a grotesque zombie game or something and Miyazaki (who creates things based on courage, innocence, purity, and life) told them he hated it. Watch the documentary. It’s good.
