AI will never have consciousness because although it is possible to base its inputs in quantum mechanics, AI is deterministic by definition, and in the best case scenario, has an statistical behavior, such as the gases.
So, AI is not more than a very sophisticated algorithm and that's it, nothing more. Human beings are infinitely more than an algorithm, we have consciousness, that is something immaterial, that is spiritual, out of our realm but connected to it, created by the supreme being, God our Father.
God's like AI? We would have to wait forever, because that will never happen. AI is just like us, in the study of the genome, we cannot create anything, we can only manipulate whatever already exists, something that has been already created. When we see AI images or writings, apparently we are in front of a new creation, but if we analyze carefully, there is nothing new in it, just intelligence simulation, human knowledge re-arranged.
