AI has *zero* clue on how the software will behave and appear towards a human. For example it can't perceive or measure if it's software will be power efficient, or fast enough to appear smooth to a human. And it doesn't understand what is going to be an intuitive UI for a human, or how well the hardware used as an interface actually works. So no, AI can't even write the code in any reasonable way. You need a human in the loop for every minor step of the way to evaluate and test (as in physically test) things.
