LAW and LAWS are terrible acronyms to use in this context. Sounds like a legal statute or regulation. Are we going to pass LAW laws, or international LAWS laws? That sounds ridiculous. Why not A.W.S., Autonomous Weapon Systems? That's an initialism, not an acronym, but it doesn't lead to silly-sounding sentences.
