We don't actually WANT jobs. We want paychecks. AI should do all the dirty, dangerous, repetitive stuff, leaving humans to do what they do best, socialization, creativity, performance. The only question is how to make the money flow to the humans? Tax AI, and distribute it as UBI? Some other system?
