You guys realize that depression and ideation existed before ChatGPT, right? Seems like you're totally unaware you're entire argument is a logical fallacy. It's like saying anti-depressants cause suicide because a large proportion of those who do so were on anti-depressants--while entirely leaving out that depressed people are often on anti-depressants. I'd wager the same percentage searched for related terms on Google, pre-GAI, but Google feeding you info unilaterally just feels less icky to you than synthesizing and providing that same info.
