It turns frontend devs into passable backend devs and vise-versa, everyone is a "full stack" dev now since you don't have to know multiple programming languages all that well. You have to understand logic and know the languages at least well enough to check the AI's BS. I always hated bash and didn't write bash scripts even for problems where that would be a good answer -- except now I can make the AI write the bash script part, and anything too complicated or hard to understand I can make that part into a python script or something easier to read.
