I've been saying this since the beginning, people hate AI because of environmental concerns, misinformation, and other important reasons, but keep falling back on "It's ugly". But I've seen some AI art that I actually like, and that argument not only won't always hold up but it's not even the real reason. It's like criticizing the appearance of a corrupt politician that's committed massive crimes, that's not the issue here and saying it is implies that only ugly people commit crimes, and beautiful people don't. Just like with AI, it's using pointless arguments just as an excuse to get more ammo against the thing you hate. And it's not only dishonest --- It's damaging to your side's arguments as a whole. (the em dash was a joke this isn't chatgpt don't lynch me plz) It implies that if AI art WAS good, than the other problems wouldn't matter.
