In the near future you will be able to meet these chatbots in Virtual Reality and then you can do trips together play games like table tennis and so on. All the parts are there they are just not connected jet. Also VR is uncomfortable for more than 2 hours but it is possible that AR glasses will change that and AI companions will also be part of your world interacting with your environment.
