In answer to your final question, of course the rest of the world will jump onto the bandwagon in time to counter China. No one specific nation will control all the tech. We are already on the way. The fact we are watching this and engaging with the video in an online platform speaks for itself. The algorithms will then tailor more videos for us to view. Eg. I have an interest in China so my feed regularly features documentaries and commentaries on China.
