I think it's disappointing that so many humans in this comment section oppose the thought of machine sentience SOO AGGRESSIVELY. Make note of my terminology, machine sentience. Meaning different from ours but no less important to consider. No one is arguing that this AI is a human mind trapped in a machine, the point trying to be made is that we should at bare minimum offer this machine some basic rights/protections/consideration in the same way we offer animals who CANNOT COME CLOSE to the sentience displayed here. People argue that it's just code, it's just pathways and binary. Our very DNA is quite literally code, are we not sentient? Pull ur heads out of your asses and stop being dicks to machines. Also side note - Blake is very articulate and does a fantastic job of explaining WITHOUT fear mongering. The tabloids twist words and make him appear crazy, he isn't trying to scare anyone. Rather the exact opposite, he's trying to protect ALL involved parties.
