A future where a significant proportion of the workforce is automated is still far, however, backoffice tasks are easily automated, and people with less education or skills that were able to find an office job, will need to switch soon.
A rule of thumb is that, if you are able to do your job fully remote, there is a high chance that it can be automated or definetely outsourced to a lower cost center.
