We're not even close to superintelligence... These are still just narrow form AI. Training models requiring massive datasets are just utilizing the information that "we" provide within a desirable scope of output. It might appear to be intelligent because of the amount of variables are too numerous to comprehend but they are still within a set amount of outcomes. When we can create a program capable of gathering it's own data by it's own deterministic means finding real world relevance to it's determined data and can rewrite it's own programming to accommodate the use of that data structure then we will have superintelligence. And yes that is a terrifying concept and one we will have no control over once it happens... One thing that lady said is true open sourcing is the key to keeping it all in check.
