That’s a lot of talk by someone who just got supplanted by Anthropic
Also idk what Sam’s big concern is. The logic for these startups will go “is gpt 5 better than gpt4? How much more compute is it, and is it worth it? Great, call gpt5 instead of gpt4 now”. Worst case scenario they have to retrain some models but the value add will be their labeled data, not the underlying model they are building on
