These ai tools are being used to try and get rid of the most dangerous variable for companies. Humans. Right now the little guy can technically fight back. We can strike, or turn down unfair jobs, or refuse to do what a company says. If nothing changes though, a few years from now a company will be able to just say "okay, fine, I'll have ai do it faster and cheaper than a human ever could."
I think the tech is fascinating on a theoretical level. There are situations where AI is a useful tool that artists can use. The problem is those aren't the circumstances big companies are concerned with.
