I work in AI, and the idea of 'poisoning' AI art doesn’t really hold up. There’s already an overwhelming amount of low-quality art out there that AI struggles to use effectively—if it did, the results would simply be undesirable to users. This is intentional and actually helps refine AI-generated art over time. That’s just how progress works. AI isn’t going anywhere, but it’s not a magic wand—it’s just a tool. I still commission art and animation all the time from actual artists all the time. Not everything needs to be or has to be AI either. Also I fundamentally reject the idea that AI-generated art is 'stolen.' If that were true, then simply seeing something that inspires you to create something similar would also be considered theft—which clearly isn't the case. I noticed you attempted to "refute" this, but it just turned into a personal anecdote. AI is still just a tool, and not a magic wand. I understand why a lot of artists don't like AI art, because when Creative Destruction comes for something you like or are passionate about it can feel pretty rough, but you have to remember humanity as a whole is gaining something far better from all of this. This is just the beginning too. _(In fact I could make an argument for IP laws only hurting humanity, but that's another topic altogether.)_
