The most imminent threat of AI is global economic collapse. In a few years there will be no more white collar jobs, so who will pay for all these plumbers? Without jobs there will be no taxes income for the governments because these companies don’t pay almost any taxes. I don’t see how lows and regulations will qualify adapt to the fast advance in AI.
