Inspiration is when an artist sees understands and expands upon or references the work of another.
AI doesn't understand anything. It basically very sophisticated predictive text. There's no commentary, no interpretation, no actual creativity.
Some ai images even spit out art with garbled illegible signatures of artists because it doesn't understand what that signature is or means.
