I am a programmer, and an artist, and I can tell everyone with the utmost certainty that no, Generative AI is not gonna be profitable.
At least not until we figure out a sustainable long term and near infinite amount of power and resources to fuel it with. The more complex the AI the harder it is to maintain and curate. Do you know the amount of resources we need to keep the thing on at the moment? The only way for it to grow is if every computer in the planet is on 24/7 multiplied by 100 and dedicated only to ONE task. So, no.
