One red flag. If the artist is not there themselves, most likely they aren’t really an artist. Unless they are sick, then maybe. But I’ve seen some artists call in “sick” when they are not. They just don’t want to be cofronted when there is suspicion. It’s one thing when you need a break, but people come to see the “artist” the reason behind the art. Pretty soon, people who create AI trash will not be attending conventions and just sell online. I would sell my work if I could there but can’t afford it.
