Unpopular opinion here. I think generative AI is fine as a tool. And you should be able to freely use it for free projects that won't generate you any income However if there's money involved then you should pay a fee to everyone included in the model training. Let's say it's a 5% per artist. So company trained AI model on 10 artists. They now should pay 5% *10 people= 50% of their profits from the images generated to the artists. You can't fight AI IMO. It will (and already is i think) spread through the internet. You need regulate it. Boycotting will get you nowhere. Just remember that when they were created photography and digital art were treated pretty same way as ai is treated now. Once again: pay to the artists if you are profiting from the generated art. That's all. Boycotts will get you nowhere and sabotage will only make you look bad in the eyes of those who aren't involved.
