There is only one place where ai can be argued to be useful in art. And thats to be used to create a reference to actually build off of. Like how artists use photos to reference from.with their works.
To say that an ai piece is art directly is not correct at all.
But to use it to as a reference to create off of an idea? No different than using a photograph to paint or draw something.
