I still believe that if AI artist started calling themselves "AI art commissioners", everything would be solved. You commissioned a piece to AI, you have every right to claim what your role was, and nothing more: since AI tools automatically grant you free use of the work, you can use it in any competition or showing you desire and present it as a work you commissioned, but you'd unequivocally be an asshole (when not legally at fault) to present a work you commissioned as one you created, so you would need to be transparent about the origins.
