They will "seem awake" when the perceiver believe the ai are awake BUT our belief in them will continue to make them seem more and more awake until its so fine WE can't tell the difference... not them.. so human consciousness is something we might have created a version of that will experience itself forever.. without ever knowing what perceiving itself ever truly meant?
