If you remove the AI parts from Angel Engine wouldn't it just be a book? Part of it might be that visuals and audio make it work for tiktok, even if the author doesn't really care for them.
That may or may not be the case for Angel Engine but it's important to separate different aspects of media, you can enjoy the story just for the text while ignoring the AI made parts.
