Get used to ai. I recall these same arguments being made by developers about offshore contractors 20 years ago. Those developers are no longer working for the company as they were replaced with contractors. Companies will tolerate quality issues for the mere perception of reduced labor costs. Further, this tech is in its infancy and this article condemning it has to admit junior developer can deliver 35% faster. For lightweight solutions like power apps or web development this tech already allows non developers to create viable solutions. The key point is you can’t look at where this is now… you have to think about 5 or 10 years down the road. Bottom line… the world is changing. The automobile was just invented and we are in the buggy whip business.
