Hey awesome human. First up; thanks for being a creator. The world is a better place for anyone that engages with making, for exactly the reasons you point out in the video. Second (though somewhat ironically) I’m glad the algorithm put this in front of me. I’m not a visual artist in any way, so I was somewhat surprised to see this in my feed. But very pleased it did. Third: thank you for fighting back, and tutorialising others on how to fight back too. The notion that the skill, passion, practice, and sheer humanity required to create can somehow be reduced to concepts like monetisation and efficiency is a farcical misunderstanding of the human condition, and I am truly saddened by the self-reinforcing systems that shape people into that belief. I genuinely pity those people because the multitude of factors which shape that viewpoint are so pervasive in our society, and while it’s a rational response for those people it is so destructive to all of us. Fighting that mindset is a crucial endeavour that has predated AI, but feels so accelerated in the last couple of years. So thank you again for fighting the good fight, on so many fronts.
