Actual artist here (getting a degree in a creative industry), simple rule. Practice makes perfect, though tbh using AI to make reference images is alright as long as you aren't copying (this is actually something we do at uni since more often than not if you have a truly original idea you'll struggle to find exact reference)
Also about claiming disability as an excuse, that's bullshit lmao I have nerve damage in one hand (used to be ambidextrous, now just right handed but working on it) so if I make it work then you can
