As a programmer, can confirm that face recognition is biased because machine learning datasets tend to have more Caucasian data (idk why honestly). The result is that algorithms are biased, and they work better for white people than others. As an Asian, the iPhone face recognition works on my face like only half the time 🤷🏻♀️
