Using AI is draining groudwater and increasing the electricity bill for everybody. AI is estimated to use as much electricity as UK during 1 year. It is very unevenly impacted geographically. Depending on where data server are located. Also those people being layed off still have to live. So their water and electricity is more expensive. This cost increase should be paid by Google and Meta and other AI companies
