I really can't envision a scenario where AI is, ultimately, has a positive impact on humanity. I mean, if flawed human beings are attempting to construct an autonomous technology that has the ability to processes information at a mind-blowing rate, how would it ever view humans as anything other that a parasitic, destructive organism? And what do we do with parasites? We exterminate them.
