I have quit art for the foreseeable future because instead of being therapeutic...it's stressing me out because it's an endless race trying to improve my skills to that of AI and to get noticed on social medias. I've seen in a comment somewhere online where someone literally said, "Why should I wait a couple weeks to get a artwork done when I can go to a art generator and get one probably even better than what you can do in just 5-15 minutes?" Soon most customers are gonna be like this and expect quick timelines when we humanly cannot do it due to, like myself, having day jobs or life happening in general or something else. It's just like with the self checkouts. When I was a cashier customers were super impatient and wanted me to work faster to get them out quicker. It leads to not so accurate results but they still pressured me to be speedy. I've never seen any recognition really for my art and when I do they are soft and go oh this is amazing and not be honest... and with my day job starting to take up most of my waking hours (I'm a home health aid) it's starting to look like I will never be able to make this into a business. I don't want to wait till I'm retired to make art a career.
