Give up about AI, lol.
Whether artists manage to opt out to be used in AI learning process, your art or the art of any unknown and/or dubious talented artist or wanna be artist is not going to be used or rarely be distinguishable. People will always be specific on what they want and will use references. Even if a well known artist withdraws consent, language will play against them because users will work around the restriction and get the result they want with more specific prompts.
As I stated before, merit in art will be a thing again.
AI will weed out the artists people won't find good enough.
As an artistic oriented person, I welcome AI. I write, play music, got excellent grades in art at school, etc. Unfortunately neurodivergence played against me so AI has opened possibilities I only imagined about.
Art is, for most people, is a luxury indeed. Learning an art form is incompatible with modern life. Or either you learn a skill or starve so AI will be used by those who never had a chance to give it a go.
