By definition, Art is something made intentionally by a human. Yes a human made the prompt but not the peice.
People say the oldest peice of art were handprints in mud made by a 7 and 12 year old thousands of years ago. It holds importance to people because what connects us is joy, these kids were playing, not less than kids today playing with sidewalk chalk on a driveway or Van Gogh painting a starry night.
They say that it was animation during the 1980's South Korea and North Korea were on equal ground, south Korean artists taught the north Koreans how to sharpen their skills at animation. And the South Koreans were shocked at how well they took to it. Together they worked on many shows, including Avatar the last Airbender i believe.
Joy, perspective, Bridging divides, is art A.I has so far caused mostly rifts between humans and it's so sad. That i believe is what makes it not art. I
A.I can be a tool, but please let it never be a replacement...
