I’ve so many of these anti-ai art videos and they never (ever) seem to grasp what art is. And the reason is because they consistently conflate art with craft.
The artist doesn’t create anything. The artist, when engaged in the action of art, is operating singularly in service to their burden to make manifest in our world what they observe of the ethereal. That’s it. That’s all that’s happening.
Whatever “fingerprint” you’re seeing, it’s merely the artist existing as the necessary sieve of the reporting on that observation.
Unless Ai makes a work WHOLE CLOTH, it is always art if it is an artist who’s using it. Because all art is is a series of choices in service to that burden; in service to what the artist observes of the ethereal. If they can get CLOSER to accurate using Ai rather than a paintbrush, then it’s irrelevant whether they use Ai or a paintbrush.
CRAFT and CRAFTSMEN exist on a hierarchy, ART and ARTISTS never do.
