If you fire everyone for AI, the macroeconomy collapses because without jobs, there’s no demand.
Even being a plumber won’t be sustainable. And the tech bros won’t be rich either.
A lot of these AI doom predictions aren’t really about technology; they’re speculations about economics, psychology, and even the nature of intelligence and consciousness, areas that are still poorly understood. That doesn’t make them illegitimate, but it’s worth remembering they rest on unproven assumptions far outside their authors’ domains.
