I wonder if humans have in fact created new life? It's like the ball has already started rolling and AI becoming the dominant species is inevitable. Humans have perhaps wrongly believed that we would forever be the pinnacle of life on this planet but we are just another link in the chain of life, destined to go extinct like 90% of the rest of life on earth. Selfishly I just hope I don't live to see it all end.
