Art comes in many forms, like paintings, music, sculptures, poems and so on. They are a means to human expression, it roots in the core of what is human, as the social beings we are. What human is cannot be escaped by anyone, and in a world where every bit that is human is replaced by machine, we see and experience a disconnection. Art is of social norm, to express to one another. Taking that away has and will continue to leave behind a loneliness, emptiness and gnawing hunger in ourselves, no matter who you are, the expressor, or the receiver. Machines do not have the core human function, and can never truly replace what it is to be human. It can come close, but it is bound to its core roots of what it even is, a mimic. It can not think critically and it can not form connections the way we find meaning in. All it can do, is mimic. AI is under extreme hype these days, but it will pass. All it really is, is a tool. There is nothing intelligent about it really. It will take some time for this to calm down, but people will tire of lacking connections, to not express, the disconnection. The music industry has a similar (if not same) issue when it comes to replacing humans with machines. We gained the technology to mimic real-life-sounding instruments, yet the struggle became to make it sound believable, to sound, human. Even when that was mastered, the sheer freedom of composing exposed more issues, cause even when it sounds believable, it also sounds like something we wouldn't be able to play live with real instruments, which still affects our minds. It may not be very noticeable to everyone, but its there, having its effect. What I am saying is, the human can never be taken out of art, no matter its forms and the tools used to achieve it. What is the point of doing that? Art is human expression, replacing that with machine is as silly as replacing human interaction by speech with AI (and ofc, we have, but is AI whom we talk the most to globally? do we prefer it? I hope not, at least I do not). Then there is philosophy (for those who know it more than the gibberish some make it out to be). Which is another can of worms I am not going to open up at this time, but again, something AI can never truly do.
