I guess I'm curious how you define productivity and output. LOC? We all know that's silly. In the long run if someone writes by hand and has 10 bugs and someone uses AI and has 30, then writing more code via AI isn't better. Maintenance is another issue. I guess it's all theoretical it's hard to empirically study these things but it's interesting to wonder what is best, truly.
