Apparently this is not a popular opinion. But a brush is a technological upgrade over brushes of the past (materials have changed) and fingers. A camera literally captures what the eyes can see. AI is just another tool y'all... Still takes skill to have an eye for art, just as it takes skill to paint. I imagine mid journey didn't just crank that out, because prompting is also a skill. I personally can't get it to make something like that. But if I could, wouldn't it be sweet to be able to share your imagination with others? Have it come to life thanks to a new tool? I believe prompting is going to be an important skill for our kids. Progress is progress after all, this stuff isn't going away. Human made art will still likely always have the edge. But I am all for seeing more cool shit and giving tools to people.
