Silicon Valley Girl you have to understand that Design and Implementation are two vastly different tasks. One has immense value and the other not as much. Designers are not going away, unless you have AI that can design, meaning take input system or customer requirements and implement a DESIGN or Discover a Design ( can AI perform scientific research and discovery?). I have not been able to get an AI tool to design yet. Now the implementation of a Design can be done in many different ways, which are again most engineers can do, and which an AI tool can easily do. Now AI implementations are often pretty messy.
