Without the VAT (value added tax), you are correct, but YANG IS NOT PROPOSING UBI ON ITS OWN. This is coming from a hardcore member of the Yang Gang AND a huge fan of re zero (and of course my boi Felix). I don't know why you skipped over the VAT that goes along with UBI because it is half of the equation for Yang's solution to wealth distribution. Like you said, UBI will give working class buying power which will flow to the owning class. However the VAT will capture the gains made by the owning class from automation and redistribute it disproportionally to the worker class.
TL;DR: The bourgeoisie pay more in VAT than they gain in UBI, while the proletariat gain more in UBI than they pay in VAT. I hope you respawn at the appa stand and reconsider UBI when paired with VAT.
